Charlotte Palmer, “Mrs. Palmer”, is currently serving her first term as a member of the South Beauregard Recreation District 2 Board after serving on the steering committee for nearly two decades. She is married to Mr. Dale and they have two children, Amy and Carla; and three grandchildren, Arden, Kyle, and Evangeline. They attended Trinity Baptist Church.

After graduating from Westlake High School and working as an IBM computer programmer, Mrs. Palmer attended McNeese State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and English Education followed by her Masters of Science in Administration and Supervision. During her twenty-year career with the Beauregard Parish School Board, Mrs. Palmer taught Business and English, was the assistant principal at South Beauregard High School, and was a teacher evaluator. She enjoys cooking, photography, genealogy, and being of service to others.

Mrs. Palmer’s joy in serving on the South Beauregard Recreation District 2 Board is a natural response to retiring from a fulfilling career in education. While she loves developing our facilities to improve the quality of life for our community youth, Mrs. Palmer’s heart is with the senior adults of our community. After establishing the Senior Retiree Breakfast, she has passionately kept our local retirees informed and has been a helping hand whenever necessary.
